Lodging Inspections/Regulations

The Environmental Health staff are responsible for conducting annual sanitation inspections in state licensed lodging establishments in Newton County. The inspections are conducted pursuant to a contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS). The DHSS has established rules pertaining to sanitation and safety standards for lodging establishments. All inspections are conducted pursuant to those standards.
